Real leadership experience,
Practical business perspective

SIXiS stemmed from lived experience, with the recognition that to help SMEs address the structural pressures that so often hold them back, a more holistic, not a one size fits all, practitioner based approach was required.
Private SMEs face a set of pressures many advisors do not fully understand.

That is why SIXiS exists

(What We Believe)

At SIXiS, we believe most SMEs are not struggling for lack of effort, often they are constrained by three structural resource realities

They lack time

Leadership is consumed by immediacy, doing too much, leaving too little room for clear thinking and proactive management.

They lack talent depth

Capability is often spread thin, with too few people able to lead, challenge, improve and execute at the required level.

They lack money

Capital constraints limit flexibility, all revenue is treated equal, investment is delayed and increase the relative cost of mistakes.

Together, these constraints create a business trapped in the ‘business as we know’ it mindset — where activity continues, but meaningful progress does not.

Our approach

SIXiS is built to help businesses break that pattern by working on the three areas that matter most:

Leadership

Leadership

Stronger leadership behaviour, better conversations, improved accountability and more effective management.

Strategy

Strategy

Sharper choices, clearer priorities, better alignment and practical plans.

Delivery

Delivery

More discipline, greater traction, clearer ownership and improved follow-through.

SIXiS is built for SME owners and leaders who want practical help improving how their business thinks, leads and performs.

Tim Jones

MBA, G.Dip Mkt, BA (Hons), WSET 3

The leadership perspective behind SIXiS principal, Tim Jones, has been earned across three distinct arenas.

Beginning in the British Army, serving as an officer in the elite Brigade of Gurkhas, where leadership, discipline, judgement and responsibility were non-negotiable.

Second, through senior marketing and commercial roles in blue-chip FMCG businesses including Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser, Sugar Australia (CSR) and Southcorp Wines (Treasury). These roles built deep experience in brands, markets, customers, commercial thinking and execution. An MBA with a GMAT of 740 (top1%) exposed him to the best of academic thinking.

That experience was then taken into CEO roles in complex privately owned SME businesses:

6 years as CEO of Belaroma / Seven Miles

An East Coast Roasting and Wholesale business, drove a complete transformation, propelling growth from $7m to $23m p.a.

5 Years as CEO of Cumulus Vineyards

An integrated wine business, one of the largest vineyard holders in NSW, with sales of over 50,000 cases per annum. Engineered a successful sale and exit.

Those CEO roles involved the realities familiar to many private business owners and leaders: growth pressure, cash constraints, operational drag, team capability gaps, shareholder complexity and the challenge of improving performance without overcomplicating the business.
